UC San Diego Jacobs Medical Center

Exterior of the UC San Diego Jacobs Medical Center in La Jolla.Jacobs Medical Center (JMC) is a 364-bed advanced medical center that is home to UC San Diego Neurological Surgery's Quad-Pod of neurosurgical operating rooms providing integrated cranial and spinal navigation, intra-operative MRI and CT capabilities, sophisticated microscopy and imaging tools, as well as advanced spinal robotics solutions. JMC is home to our Level 4 Epilepsy Center, the only one in the region, and the second of our two Comprehensive Stroke Centers, making UC San Diego Health one of very few systems nationally to have two Comprehensive Stroke Centers.

Center for the Future of Surgery

Interior of the UC San Diego Center for the Future of Surgery.In 2012, UC San Diego opened the Center for the Future of Surgery (CFS). This $65M building hosts 45,000 square feet of educational space including 22 operative stations, endoscopy stations, as well as ICU and ED simulation suites. In 2019, the CFS was expanded to include a 15 station microsurgical lab and hybrid OR/angiography suite. Supported by full veterinary staff capable of performing Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) studies on medical devices, this visionary destination facility provides national and international training and serves as a clearinghouse for the research and development of new technologies.

UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center

Exterior of the UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center.Moores Cancer Center (MCC) is a National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. This designation is reserved for centers with the highest achievements in cancer research, clinical care, education, and community contributions. MCC unites cancer-related research laboratories, clinical trials, prevention and outreach programs, and patient care under one roof.  Our distinctive building on UC San Diego Health's La Jolla campus opened in 2005 and comprises two structures that share a common base: a three-story facility for clinical services and administration, and a five-story research tower. This design encourages interaction and intellectual exchanges between our world-renowned clinicians and researchers.

UC San Diego Hillcrest Medical Center

Rady Children's Hospital

Rady Children's is the San Diego region's only hospital dedicated exclusively to pediatric healthcare and its only designated pediatric trauma center. It is additionally one of the top 5 largest children's hospitals in the United States. The Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Rady Children's provides treatment for disorders of the brain, spine, calvarial vault, and peripheral nerves.
