Dr.WilliamTaylor to serve as Vice Chair-Academic Affairs UCSD Neurosurgery

Dr. William Taylor, Professor of Neurosurgery at UCSD Medical Center, has been appointed Vice Chair for Academic Affairs in the Division of Neurosurgery at UCSD Medical Center.  Dr. Taylor has been at the forefront of the development of minimally invasive spinal surgery techniques and President Elect of the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery

"Dr. Taylor brings a wealth of expertise in clinical neurosurgery and service to UCSD Medical Center to this position.  He has been an international leader in outcomes research for patients with spinal disorders and the development minimally invasive techniques to treat patients.  He will help advance our clinical and academic mission to develop new and innovative therapies for patients with spine and brain conditions that require surgery"  noted Dr. Bob Carter, Neurosurgery Division Chief.
